What they should do in the future >go full Stellaris on the race creator, add more slots, a points system and weaknesses you can pick >promotions overhaul to make them unique >more units per culture for variety, maybe even tome unit variants based on culture sprinkled around Now for my thoughts so far >standardized promotions are boring as fuck, getting even a shit unit to high rank in 3 would reward me with some cool ability >culture units are supposed to be blank canvases with some subtle playstyle flavoring so you can make them cooler with enchantments and stuff, but frankly they come off as bland and boring even if you make their sword glowing and their skin blue >gaining new damage types doesn't really feel impactful compared to previous titles, probably because playable races don't have elemental resists/weaknesses any more >city management is excellent and doesn't feel like an afterthought like in 3, my favorite addition was the separate unit queue >the AI is very competent, absolutely mogs Firaxis and Amplitude (not a high bar) >RX480 runs the game perfectly fine with no crashes
